The Executive Search

We begin with an in-depth consultation that includes the hiring team representing our client. This ensures that we have a clear understanding of our client’s specific needs and provides criteria we can then use to develop a strategic search on our client’s behalf.

Once the parameters of our search have been established, we utilize our proprietery data base, industry contacts and their referrals, in conjunction with Catalyst’s unique “success formula” search and recruitment methodology developed over 35 years of executive search experience, to identify the top performers in the marketplace. We then further screen selected candidates through a rigourous yet thoughtful process, that includes an examination of core and behaviourial strengths in addition to a critical evaluation against the competencies specific to the positions for which they are being considered to arrive at our top three candidates.

Candidate profiles and evaluation results are then forwarded to our client to preview while we orchestrate “next steps” in the interview process.

At the conclusion of each interview, your Catalyst Consultant will then debrief both prospect and client for future discussion and wrap-up.

Our fees are highly competitive. Contingency Searches are 20% of the candidate’s first year cash compensation. Payment for Contingency Searches are due within 10 days of candidate’s start date. Retained searches are a flat fee based on the candidate’s first year cash compensation and the complexity of the search.

For clients who feel they are lacking the unique perspective and enrichment associated with a diverse cross-section of personnel, we will further customize our search strategy, to ensure there is diversity in the array of suitable candidates we present. For this service, our standard search fees apply

The Catalyst Executive Search Guarantee

We guarantee our work in writing. Any candidate engaged through our assistance is guaranteed for a period of one year from the date of hire. In the event that a candidate leaves or is removed for performance-related issues within the first year of employment, we will re-engage without charging additional professional fees.
